Why and how does the Crystal Bowl Sound Affect Us?

The human body is composed of many crystalline substances and therefore has a natural affinity to the pure tone vibration that comes through the crystal bowl. For example, the bones, blood and DNA are crystalline in structure and there is liquid crystalline colloidal structure in the brain – all of which gives the human body quite a bit of resonation potential. In essence, our bodies, being mostly bone and water, resonate easily with vibrations. In Robert Becker’s book The Body Electric, this concept is explored in-depth.

On a molecular level our cells contain silica. Interestingly, the crystal bowl is made of 98.9% silicon quartz and silicon crystal is used in all the world’s most advanced telecommunications systems.
